Well tomorrow we head for home. But today we hit up a few places. First it was off to Arlington for the Marine Corps Memorial and Arlington Cemetery. While in the cemetery we made sure to get on the tour bus so we could get John F. Kennedy's Grave, Tomb of the Unknowns, and Arlington House. Every time I think about the number of our military dead that have given their lives to make sure we are free to make the choices and decisions for our future I and lost and thankful for their and their family's sacrifice. These brave men and woman deserve our admiration and respect. For over two hundred years their lives have grant our and many other peoples from around the world the rights and freedoms we desire. Even today our brave men and woman risk their lives to make sure we are safe at home from oppression and terror.
I would like to explicitly state how much I respect our service men and woman and how much I honor their risks and lives for my freedom. Thank you to all of our past, present, and future military men and woman.
After Arlington we ventured across the city to the Jefferson memorial. The view of the Potomac is and the D.C. skyline is astounding. The riches, wealth, blood, and tears that have been given for this nation would be hard pressed to find a better location for receiving their just honor. As for Jefferson himself. This place and view over the capital is amazing. I hope he is able to watch over and teach us for many generations.
After hitting up these monuments we went for an adventure in evasion and espionage. We were off to the International Spy Museum. Very interesting history of spy techniques that have been used and enhanced for hundreds of years. To the unsung hero of military and intelligence officers, I thank you.
After this quick week in D.C. the only thing I wish for is more time. I will need to make sure to get more time in the future for more plane so I might take a closer look at our past and future. This city is filled with amazing memorials and museums. Hundreds of hours could be spent learning and respecting this history. Thank you to those that make sure this knowledge exists for future generations. And to those that have never been here... make time... you will find something to fall in love with.
-Thanks D.C.,
