Well we are now on our way home. Kind of a bummer because there is plenty we did not see in our National Capitol. But all things must come to an end so we start our adventure off into the morning light. As we started to to Bethesda, Maryland we had the first (and hopefully only) glitch for the day. It seems that the engine coolant magically gained a leak. After a flurry of phone calls and an adventure to a "Giant" store we found some water and coolant and are n...

Well tomorrow we head for home. But today we hit up a few places. First it was off to Arlington for the Marine Corps Memorial and Arlington Cemetery. While in the cemetery we made sure to get on the tour bus so we could get John F. Kennedy's Grave, Tomb of the Unknowns, and Arlington House. Every time I think about the number of our military dead that have given their lives to make sure we are free to make the choices and decisions for our future I and lost and thankful f...

Day two... First we tried to meet the Congressman Steve Austria but unfortunately we was out of his office working in a committee somewhere... so we decided to move onto grander things. Next stop, Capitol Conservatory. Very nice gardens, arboretums in the conservatory. Wonderful collection of trees and flowers from various parts of the world. After our brief adventure as botanists we headed off to the National Museum of the American Indian. This viewing was rath...

Day three here in D.C. First stop, Library of Congress. Well the main library hall was interesting but the lack of books kind of made it bummer to explore. But the roaming displays they currently had were very interesting. First was early American art. Samples of art from the natives of North and South America. Unfortunately we were not allowed to photograph these exhibits. The next exhibit was the creation of a nation. Documents and maps used duri...

Yesterday, Jonathan, Jordan, and myself spent almost the entire day in the Capitol building. That is a very beautiful building with lots of amazing artwork and history. The guided tour was okay, but I would much prefer to get a smaller tour with more time and less obstructions so I might enjoy photographing more. Even beyond photography, there is plenty of more treasures that are left in passages and corridors that we do not get to enjoy. The sights around the city ar...

On our way to DC. Riding here in the car with Jonathan and Jordan. We are on our way to see the sites in Washington D.C. Nothing like spending time in the capital to really get really frustrated with our wonderful government. Watching the sunrise over the mountains is pretty cool. So far we have been enjoy bitching about politics, iPhone, and other crazy topics. Stay tuned for more details.

After two weeks of no blogs I have realized that I have fallen for Hulu. Spending years without cable TV has left me with a huge SciFi gap. After hearing about Hulu I decided to take it for a spin. After two weeks I have concluded that it is one of the best forms of television I have seen. Hooking my computer up to my big screen TV makes for pretty good viewing, while the quality leaves a little to de desired. Over all the service is nice and the spectrum of televis...
